This research, which explores the nexus between trade, gender and public procurement policy, investigates how inclusive government procurement policy, coupled with the effective management of scarce resources, can accelerate sustainable economic outcomes. Government procurement is an important dimension of international trade. The procurement market often makes up 10 to 15 per cent of the GDP of developed countries and up to 30 to 40 per cent of the economies of least developed countries (LDCs).
